About our Art Team
Three Rings' art team is made up of a close-knit group of highly talented artists with a broad range of skills related to the gaming industry.
Our artists work as an integral part of the teams designing and developing our games, with each artist carrying concepts for a project from conceptual design through to completion. Our goal is for each artist to make a genuine and lasting impression on the art style and art direction of the projects on which they work.
Skills typical of the Art team include:
- Experience with 3D and 2D character development.
- Environment development.
- Display/Interface development.
- Game design.
Three Rings makes a broad spectrum of games, from browser-based Flash mini-games to 3D action games and MMOs with sophisticated player-driven economies. We hope this breadth provides our artists with the opportunity to continue learning new skills on each project.
Three Rings seeks an exceptionally talented Artist to join our merry crew. Work on Puzzle Pirates, Bang! Howdy, Whirled and exciting new projects.
We're looking for a fast, bright, and versatile Artist with strong drawing skills who is competent in both 2D and 3D. You'll take part in many steps of production, from concept art, through modeling, texturing, and user-interface production, to final assets.
We are open to applications from Artists with all levels of experience, including new graduates. Talent is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high quality art assets (models, textures, animation data).
- Take ownership of projects, be an inspirational force in the art style of those projects.
- Work closely with other Artists to create and implement functional art assets.
- Estimate delivery time for art assets.
- Communicate fluently with team members, give and take feedback.
- As we grow, the option will be there to assume greater leadership responsibility.
Requirements:
- Passionate about making games and producing top quality artwork.
- Traditional art training and knowledge of animation, design, etc.
- Strong drawing, animation, modeling, and/or texturing skills.
- Experience with 3D Studio Max or Maya, Photoshop, and Flash.
- Able to work quickly in a team atmosphere.
Three Rings seeks an exceptionally talented Senior Artist to help head our future projects.
Our goal at Three Rings is the creation of truly innovative and engaging games. We are currently looking for an individual with extensive art and design experience that would be excited to take a leadership position in the stylistic development of our new games.
As a part of a small team, the successful candidate will take a leadership role in contributing to visual and functional game design in addition to providing mentoring and guidance to our team of talented artists. As a company, we are committed to avoiding the encroachment of managerial overhead. We hope that everyone at the company can continue to be involved, and truly enjoy, the creative process. The successful candidate will lead by example and through their enthusiasm and genuine interest in the design and creation of games.
Our emphasis in hiring is on your understanding of how games work and how to create the right "look and feel" to match the kinds of innovative games we create. We look forward to learning more about your experience and ideas for new games!

- Traditional art training and knowledge of animation, design, etc.
- Strong drawing, Usability Design, and User Interface design skills.
- Strong Photoshop and Flash skills.
- Able to work quickly in a team atmosphere.
- Minimum five years industry experience.
Bonus Points:
- Animation, modeling, and/or texturing skills.
- Experience with Flash Actionscript.
